Crystal Jade Dining IN now offers Weekend Dim Sum Buffet

by
In less than five years after setting up shop in the Philippines, the Crystal Jade brand had already gained a steady cult following despite the numerous competitors in the metro.

Its first branch, Crystal Jade Shanghai Delight in San Juan, is considered mecca for Xiao Long Bao-- fragile little pork dumplings filled with piping hot soup. The most avid devotees go out of their way for Multi-flavoured Xiao Long Bao available in five different varieties: Cheese, Spicy Beef, Shrimp, Vegetable and Dried Bean Curd, and Spicy Chicken.

PF Chang's China Bistro

P.F. Chang's Offers 22 New Dishes, Repositions Itself as 'Pan-Asian'

by

Last year, PF Chang's China Bistro-- one of America’s largest Chinese restaurant chains said to be frequented by Hollywood stars like John Travolta, Gwen Stefani, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez—opened its first Asian branch in Alabang Town Center.

It was a tricky move: to put up another Chinese restaurant in a country that’s already teeming with noodles and dim sum. But thankfully for P.F. Chang’s, their promise of a unique bistro experience and its no MSG, Vegetarian-friendly, and Gluten-free policy appealed to Filipinos. This early success prompted the brand to put up a second branch in Bonifacio Global City. A third one in Shangri-la Plaza is underway.

Frequent travelers and citizens of the Philippines alike are most certainly familiar with Crystal Jade. Those of us who know of Crystal Jade in the local scene immediately bring to mind a casual dining restaurant in Greenhills with some of the best xiao long bao available on its menu. This time, the Crystal Jade team brings the more formal Dining IN concept, boasting an array of delicious contemporary Cantonese cuisine. Cantonese is considered the finest among China’s regional cuisines, making it the most popular outside its native country.

Modern Shanghai Restaurant - A Modern Twist on Shanghainese Cuisine

Modern Shangai: Chinese Made Contemporary and Chic

by Beatriz Acosta
Modern Shanghai at SM Mall of Asia is one of the newest offerings of the Bistro Group restaurant, and this is also the company's first venture into Chinese food. Just like Japanese, Italian, and our very own Filipino cuisine, Chinese fare in our country never fails to satiate the hunger of many. Chinese restaurants are everywhere, and anywhere -- from hole in the wall, mom and pop places that serve Tsinoy style food, little nooks and stores where you can loudly slurp your noodle soup, to hotel-run, elegant fine dining destinations where you delicately clink on your china and chopsticks.
