Meet the Superstar Subs of Quiznos Philippines
After establishing 4,000 shops across the United States, 300 in Canada, and 100 elsewhere in the world, Quiznos finally opened its first restaurant in the Philippines. The first branch in Manila is located at Parkade One, Bonifacio High Street.
So what sets Quiznos apart from other sandwich makers? For one, Quiznos claims to be the pioneer in making toasted sandwiches. Their crunchy subs, which come in three sizes (Small- 5", Regular- 8" and Large- 11") are made from a variety of cold cuts, sliced cheeses, and condiments such as lettuce, onions, olives, and sliced tomatoes. The sub’s ingredients are then carefully assembled in a roll of their special artisan bread (Whole Grain Flatbread, White, Wheat, Rosemary Parmesan). Dressing will depend on the kind of sub you order.

Aside from its unique toasted recipes, Quiznos adapted its menu items to suit the Filipino taste. Senior Vice President for Culinary Innovation, Chef Zach Calkins arrived in the Philippines to train the first batch of kitchen staff, familiarize himself with Filipino cuisine, and subsequently developed a localized menu to fit the Filipino Palate.
Currently, the menu has rice bowl (P125) options for the Pinoys who think a meal is not a meal without rice. As of date, the options are Pork Adobo, Creamy Chicken Mushroom, Beef in Mushroom, Kaldereta, and Menudo.
There’s also the Breakfast Menu featuring beloved almusal staples: Longanisa, Beef Tapa, Tocino, and Corned Beef—each for P125.
The ACA Group, the group responsible for bringing Quiznos to the country is projecting that total of 250 stores will be up across the country in the next five years. Outlets in Shopwise, Cubao and Greenbelt 3, Makati are currently under construction.
