sinful desserts in the metro, today we invite you, our fellow
dessertarians to celebrate National Dessert Day with us by counting down the most drool-worthy desserts in Manila!
From truffle-stuffed buchi to a soup made entirely of chocolate, these
14 dessert creations definitely made our meals end on a glorious sugar
high. So forget about counting calories today and give in to your sweet

PUBLIKO Eat + Drink – Publiko S’Mores Cake (P195)

There's only a one-sentence description about Publiko's famous
S'Mores Cake on its menu: “Warning: Addicting”; and that warning is
there for a reason. When you turn the already addicting s'mores into a
cake, you get a dessert masterpiece that will make every dessert-lover
into a weeping mess. This dessert is best-shared with NO ONE.

Wee Nam Kee – Three Flavor Chocolate Truffle Buchi (P128)
After getting your Hainanese Chicken Fix at Wee Nam Kee, make sure to
order their Three Flavor Chocolate Truffle Buchi. Filled with warm
white, milk, and dark chocolate truffle, this chocolatey upgrade to the
classic buchi will make chocoholics squee. Take extra caution when

End your meaty feast at Outback Steakhouse with the Chocolate Thunder
From Down Under. This massive dessert item is comprised of fresh-baked
pecan brownie topped with rich vanilla ice cream, drizzled with warm
chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. This mammoth
dessert is best shared with 2 – 3 friends. But hey, if you can finish

After finishing your generous serving of L'entrecote steak-frites,
it's tempting to wipe off the buttery secret sauce from your plate using
their addicting fries, but we recommend that you exercise some
self-control and save room for their Moulleux Au Chocolat. This version
of the famous lava cake is made up of gooey chocolate lava inside,
topped with vanilla ice cream. It's arguably one of the best chocolate
lava cakes in the metro today.

Magnum Manila – Death by Chocolate (P250)
When heading to one of Manila's dessert havens, make sure to order
Death by Chocolate. Though you won't literally die from eating it,
you'll momentarily lose yourself and fly off to dessert heaven with just
a spoonful of this decadent treat. This sinfully delicious creation is
made up of deep dark chocolate lava cake and truffle Magnum topped with
brownies and chocolate crispearls – it's the ultimate chocoholic's
dessert.

Restaurant 101 – Chocolate Delice (formerly Louis XV) (P290)
Complete your fine-dining experience at Restaurant 101 with their
most famous dessert, Chocolate Delice. Formerly called Louis XV, this
regal dessert tastes as exquisite as it looks. It has four special
layers: dacquoise (made with hazelnut), feulletine with praline paste
and chocolate mousse made with paradise ganache, coated with chocolate
sauce.

Nomama Artisanal Ramen – Kit Kat Bar (P175)
After slurping on your Nomama Ramen, end your meal on a sweet note
with the much-lauded Kit Kat Bar. Chef Him's version of this famous
chocolate bar is comprised of homemade peanut butter and chocolate bar
with raspberry paint. Peanut Butter lovers should definitely add this to
their must-try list.

Gino's Brick Oven Pizza – Nutella Soup (P180)
Gino's Brick Oven Pizza's burrata has been receiving rave reviews for
quite a while now. And it doesn't come as a surprise since this blob of
decadently soft house-made burrata is a cheese lover's dream come true.
But there's also one item in their menu that deserves your calorie
allocation: Nutella Soup, a bread bowl filled with melted chocolate and
hazelnut syrup. You can eat it however you want – sipping on the soup
first and munching on the bread later, but we suggest that you eat it by
tearing off a piece of bread from the crust and dipping it in the pool
of hazelnut syrup.

Another excellent dessert haven, Wicked by Cravings is a wonderland to
dessertarians who love all things whimsical. Their
Brookies,
a hybrid of cookie and brownie headlines their dessert offerings but
their Twix Cheesecake easily steals the spotlight. Its rich texture and
smooth chocolate coating is making our mouths water just thinking about
it.

Known for its excellent lineup of gourmet comfort food, Apartment 1B
is an ideal place if you want to enjoy your brunch with a cozy,
laid-back ambiance. Apart from Eggs Benedict, Steak and Eggs, you also
shouldn't miss their White Toblerone Cheesecake. Rich and bursting with
flavors, this is easily one of the best cheesecakes in the metro.

If you love leche flan and halo-halo then Icebergs' Caramel Flan
Icekimo will surely delight your tastebuds. This plus-sized dessert is
made up of fat slices of creamy leche flan, macapuno balls, sweet
banana, and ripe mangoes, topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce
and cherry.

Sweet Bella Cafe's meticulously crafted Mangotier rounds up our list.
This pretty dessert is compromised of oven-baked cheesecake, layered
with mango mousse and fresh mango coulis.
