Every
Sunday, two neighboring restaurants by the Raintree group in Makati
give delicious reasons to wake up early for a leisurely brunch -- think
unlimited fills and returns, with live jazz music.
Located at the ground level of Ayala Museum Complex and just a stroll away the Greenbelt area, Museum Café(or
'M Café' called by its long time patrons) is a restaurant and bar
concept that's been around for years, and held its 11th anniversary
party last June with two things they've been known for ever since: good
company, and great live music. It gave some of its space in the recent
years for next-door neighbor, Kabila Filipino Bistro, highlighting creative Filipino cuisine to complement M Café's selection of modern Asian cuisine and international fare.
Learn more about the popular Sunday Boutique Brunch at Museum Café
and Kabila Filipino Bistro as we list what kinds of food are in store
for you.
1. Endless slices from Charcuterie station.
You can begin your brunch by partaking on a spread of cold cuts and
cured meats to rev up the appetite: their charcuterie area lets you get
as much as you want of Jamon Serrano, Chorizo Iberico, Salchicon Extra,
and Norweigan Smoked Salmon, perfect to complement the next station of
the boutique buffet...
2. Cheese all you want and pair them with the perfect accessories and breads.
For your cheesy fix, there's an artisanal spread for you: Coconut
Cheese, Gorgonzola, Brie Bridel, Parmesan, Cilantro Crusted Cream
Cheese, Fried Garlic Crusted Cream Cheese, and Black Peppercorn Crusted
Cream Cheese.
Mix and match with different accessories for contrast in texture and
flavor: Dried Apricots, Dried Figs, Dried Cranberries, Crackers,
Blackened Cherry Compote, Truffled Honey, Grapes. You can spread the
cheese or place slices of them on bread, select from Rye, Sourdough,
Multi-grain, Focaccia; if not with cheese, slather on some jam as the
boutique buffet includes assorted Bonne Maman jam for your selection.
3. Refresh your palate with limitless returns for salad.
Eat your greens to balance out your brunch -- access to the salad bar
is unlimited, where you can make your own salad creation with Mesclun
and the various condiments and dressings available. There's also
Truffled Egg Salad, Chicken & Potato Salad, and Mediterranean
Fussili Salad.
4. Savor all-you-can-eat fresh and raw seafood.
At the Raw Bar, seafood lovers can make the most out of Sunday
Boutique Brunch as you can have as many as you want of Fresh Aklan
Oysters, Fresh Prawns, and New Zealand Mussels.
5. Order an entree of your choice among 9 dishes from two restaurants.
After pleasing the palate with the different buffet stations,
spreads, and selections, leave space for your main course: pick 1 item
out of 9 brunch menu options.
Choose one of the following: Kabila Favorites rice meal (US Beef
Belly Garlic Tapa, Alaminos Garlic Longganisa, Crispy Pork Belly Chips,
or Bangus Belly "Bistek Style"), Asian Noodles served with dimsum,
Congee served with dimsum, M Benedict, Grilled Bone-in Pork Chop, Beer
Battered Fish & Chips, Roasted Seafood Linguine, Char-grilled US
Beef Burger, Grilled Chicken Tandoori. Top ordered mains are Garlic Tapa
for Kabila Favorites (for Pinoy comfort food cravings), the burger
(burger for brunch, you make the rules), and the pork chop for
protein-packed main event.
6. Add more heft to your main course with omelettes your way and other baked savories.
Head to the Omelette Station to have omelettes your way, or choose
among the baked items like Tortilla de Patata, Quiche Lorraine, Croque
Monsieur, and Baked Zucchini.
7. Have your cake and eat it, too--actually, eat as much dessert as you please.
Save room for dessert, because there's a lot to choose from! Fresh
Cut Fruits, Pancakes, French Toasts, make for classic breakfast items,
while there's also a crepe station if you want a French kind of sweet
fix. Assorted baked goods like squares, cookies, and other nibbles are
available, alongside other sorts of desserts; don't forget to slice
yourself some portions of their Artisanal Cakes!
