 After over a year of joining food fairs and weekend markets, a humble stall selling soft shell crab burgers now opens its first brick and mortar store at a favorite foodie destination--Kapitolyo, Pasig.


Back in 2014, Crunchy Crab Seafood Shack began whipping up their seafood creations first at their stall at the Greenfield Weekend Market in Mandaluyong  before joining their first ever food fair--Best Food Forward--at the Rockwell Tent of the same year. Crunchy Crab is run by a group of friends who wanted to make seafood more fun, approachable, and affordable, and began with a short menu consisting of Soft-shell Crab Burgers, Shrimp BLT, and Shrimp Bucket.

 

Soft-Shell Crab Burger

Now that they have opened a restaurant of their own, diners can expect the mainstays and favorites, with new dishes to make their seafood lineup more extensive. The Soft Shell Crab Burger remains a popular and photogenic sandwich, the crab breaded and deep fried and served with mango cilantro salsa on a sesame bun. They also still have the Shrimp BLT of topped with creamy avocado spread and lemon aioli. A Fish Fillet Burger is also now being sold, topped with homemade coleslaw. They also have their own take on the classic Fish N' Chips served with fries and tartar dipping sauce.

They also serve some seafood by the Bucket (available in 1/4 lb, half pound, 1 pound) and currently you can choose either Shrimp or Crab to be slathered with a sauce of choice (Original, Spicy, Salted Egg). Mexican eats get the seafood treatment with ther Tacos, available in Fish or Soft Shell Crab, each taco stuffed with mango salsa, guacamole, coleslaw, and sriracha aioli.
