World Street Food Congress Returns to Manila: Here's The Jamboree 2017 Food Lineup

This year, World Street Food Congress 2017 is happening at a bigger venue, at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, and its Jamboree food fair will run from Wendesday, May 31, to Sunday, June 4, 2017. Over 20 international hawkers and street food masters have made their way to Manila, including our homegrown culinary talents,  and are all set to feed you heritage food from around the world! There will be 28 food stalls for you to choose from.The Jamboree is open to the public with an Entrance Fee of P150, which is consumable in the food market. Dishes will be priced from P150 onwards, and the Jamboree will be open â â â Wednesday to Friday from 4pm to 11pm; Saturday from 1pm to 11pm; and Sunday from 1pm to 9pm.

Plan ahead and head out early to the Jamboree--and since it's an outdoor food event--prepare for both hot and wet weather, foodies. Here's the food lineup for this week:

A new stall just opened at Megamall's hawker food hub, and they're serving up this authentic Malaysian dish with the fluffiest fragrant rice.

 
Coco Kanin is the newest offering at Makansutra and at this new stall, they champion the Nasi Lemak -- a fragrant rice dish popular in Malaysia and Singapore and is considered Malaysia's national dish. As comfort food goes, they eat this rice meal at any time of the day, pretty much like how we find comfort in our Filipino 'silogs from day to night. A typical nasi goreng has fragrant rice decked with an assortment of savory add-ons and garnishes, like vegetables, fried fish, peanuts, egg, and the hot and spicy sambal to tie everything together.
